The Vladimir Salnikov’s Cup competition program has undergone many changes during it's seventeen years history. For many years, the Organizing Committee have been developing the program to excite both sport and entertainment parts of the event by editing the list of starts and distances. The Salnikov’s Cup moved from a two-day event format to three full days of the competitions. At the same time, it was important to build the competition program in a way that most of the athletes could take part in the maximum number of distances. 

Athletes and fans are to expect 41 final races in the year of 2024. 13 medal sets will be awarded on the first day of competition on December 19, 14 medal sets - on the second day of the Salnikov’s Cup and 14 medal sets - on the final day.
Butterfly, Complex swimming, Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Medley relay and Freestyle relay are waiting for their winners. 
Traditionally, the program includes the legendary Vladimir Salnikov’s "golden" Olympic distance — 1500 meters freestyle for men.

Please note that this year the Vladimir Salnikov Cup starts on Thursday, continues on Friday and will be closed on Saturday. On weekdays, the finals will start at 6 p.m., and on Saturday — at 5 p.m.
