EVGENY RYLOV AND RANOMI KROMOWIDJOJO ARE THE WINNERS OF «VLADIMIR SALNIKOV CUP» GRAND PRIX

X Jubilee Vladimir Salnikov Cup Tournament finished in Saint-Petersburg on December 17. Evgeny Rylov and a Dutch swimmer Ranomi Kromowidjojo showed the best results in races on FINA points and became the winners of the Cup.   

The final chord of the Tournament was «Saint-Petersburg is a proud white bird» song, performed by the Children’s Choir of Radio and TV during the closing ceremony. Awarding the winners Vladimir Salnikov recalled that it was in Saint-Petersburg where was born, learnt how to swim and win. Ranomi Kromowidjojo learnt her first Russian word “Spasipo” and it to the spectators. It should be noted that Evgeny Rylov repeated his success of 2015 and won the second top award in a raw.

The team from Saint-Petersburg brilliantly won Final New Year’s 4x50 m mixed medley relay beating team from Moscow that included Vladimir Morozov and became the best team considering the number of medals won (8 gold, 10 silver and 6 bronze medals. Veronika Popova made the biggest contribution who won 4 gold (200m freestyle, 4x100m freestyle, 400m freestyle, 4x50m mixed medley relay) and 1 silver medal during the Tournament.
