I would say the biggest achievement of all was the athletic edge, the struggle for victory, the sporting atmosphere, and the drive that everyone — the athletes, the honoured guests and the spectators — all felt.
The international swimming tournament has been gathering the strongest swimmers of Russia and the world in the city on the Neva for last 10 years - 350 participants, many of whom are prize-winners of the Olympic Games, World Championships and other prestigious competitions in this sport.
This jubilee year, The Vladimir Salnikov Cup will be held on the 17 and 16 December in the swimming centre on Hlopina street. The tournament is open to athletes who have qualified as masters of sport. 250 Russian participants who are the strongest in the current rating have been invited by the Organizing Committee.
